Acquisition of a Copper Foil Manufacturing Company in the US
Nippon Denkai, Ltd. (President & CEO: Hidemasa NAKAJIMA) announced today that the company has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire the whole share stock of a copper foil manufacturing company in the United States, known as Oak Mitsui Inc. (Head Quarters: Hoosick Falls, NY) from Mitsui Mining & Smelting Co., Ltd. (Head Quarters: Osaki, Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, President: Keiji NISHIDA).
The US market demand of electrodeposited copper foil for Lithium-ion battery is expected continuous growth. Nippon Denkai, Ltd. has an advantage of manufacturing and sales of electrodeposited copper foil for Lithium-ion battery and a very confident to expand its business opportunity by this acquisition.
